Iwan Kemp Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Bit more info here:https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/featured/videos/video-on-the-hub-couch-victor-momsen-r1284
Hairy Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 noticed a good couple of Vipa's at the Epic Prologue and also a fair number of PYGA's
D Vader Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I have decided to take the plunge, going soft and getting a DS, so Vipa is the choice.Have any of the Vipa owners had problems with the pressfit BB?I see some Vipas with Fox CTD and some with RS Monarch RT3, which is standard kit?
Iwan Kemp Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Welcome! Press fit bb's aren't my favorite kind, but no issues my side. First batch or two came with Monarch shocks and it's been all Fox since then as far as I know
Wallee Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 No problem with the pressfit BB. As far as I know both the Fox and the RockShox shocks supplied with the bike were tuned for the frame. Rourke Croeser having some fun on his Vipa:

If you manage to break it, you just get a new one:)
D Vader Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 We need some pics of the back end of a Vipa, as that is the view most will have of it
AdrianDJ Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Victor's own bike. Love the black Revelation (spaced to 120mm) and the custom brake levers. 120mm fork, dropper post and.................. Podium race gold hoops
D Vader Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Got the VIPA!!!Large frame set.All in with pedals, slime and bottle cage etc.10.2 kg. I could drop weight on pedals, stem and grips and wheelset, but feels good to me.Very happy, goes like stink, feels like cheating.Corners like a 'Scalelectrix'? car.Now just need to get it out to Kingskloof and such.I'll try post pics but my phone still runs on paraffin and a sling.
