DeFconOK Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Jest tested out the Vipa, these bikes are special, Bit of heart and soul in that frame. Gives you confidence and a sweet ride, i think a rear lockout is advisable for longer rides, even so i could spend days on it.
Mr X Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 a medium frame with rear shock in the classifieds for R20K It`s a large thank god otherwise I might have bought it. Agreed this bike needs the XX shock with remote at the back the Fox with pro-pedal on/climb mode is still completely too soft for a race machine. The XX shock locks out properly, not pro-pedal-bob like a Fox.

Have ridden one with a 2014 CTD and it's like night and day. Made me realise just how much I need to replace the Fox on my HDR.
Iwan Kemp Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 It`s a large thank god otherwise I might have bought it. Your wallet's not save yet... How tall are you? I'm 179 and ride a Large with a 60mm downer stem and it's a perfect fit. ALL 29ers should run shorter stems - does wonders for the steering and single track handling.
Iwan Kemp Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Vipa near Struisbaai http://scontent-a.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-prn/t51.2885-15/10358221_391108827696775_1435128438_n.jpg
