So I am putting a 34 wolf on my XT 2x10 with 11-36 on the back.

What am I actually losing in ratios for climbing ?

Anyone got a link to a spreadsheet on gear ratios ?

I did indeed mean those tabs.

I've dropped the Crusher an email about the narrow bolts. I'll probably raid the garage for spacers until I get the narrow bolts.

@MaD23 - like the others said - DIY. Having your own ratio calculator is great. Just change the numbers for road bike, track bike etc. 2 minute job.

I've seen a few excel sheets you can download too. I don't have any links though - sounds like a job for the oracle (google!).

My 34t set up works a treat - my legs are going to get stronger. If they don't I see a 32 or 30 in my future, which would be a pity because the 34 gives a good speed spread.

Hey Mr knock knees, no power, a wonky pedal stroke, uncoordinated body control ....... should you want to flog the 34t in the future you know how to get hold of me.

Okay, got a wolf 34 mounted ( couldn't find stock raceface and didn't want to wait )

Phoned a local CT store to check if they have a XT clutch medium cage derailleur in stock...

yes we do.

are you sure medium cage ( I don't know difference )?

yes

okay will come pick up now.

at store, are you sure this is medium cage , certain ?

yes sir it is!

Take to my guy who doing conversion,

this is long cage !!

phone shop, um you know the derailleur you just sold me that I asked like 4 times about whether medium cage, its a long cage!

shop - oh ya I wasn't sure.

ho hum ho hum..

anyway did this quick spreadsheet, I coloured coded kind of similar ratios to see what I would be losing,

29 11 13 15 17 19 21 24 28 32 36 26 68.55 58.00 50.27 44.35 39.68 35.90 31.42 26.93 23.56 20.94 34 89.64 75.85 65.73 58.00 51.89 46.95 41.08 35.21 30.81 27.39 38 100.18 84.77 73.47 64.82 58.00 52.48 45.92 39.36 34.44 30.61

I managed to throw the chain off my RF N/W ring running the clutch off and no guide. Clutch on its been bomb proof.

Anyone have any ideas on chain length - I havent shortened mine. Would it help make the chain even more secure?
