Are you sure its not a tubeless setup and the sealant is not glueing the tyre to the rim - can be a battle sometimes to unseat the tyre.

Are you using tyre levers?

Accepting that you are serious, tyre levers are used to remove a tyre. You may have some leaked sealant from a tube that has "glued" the tyre bead to the rim. Dunno.....

I think its a tyre that sticks out into the sea and you can walk and fish of it.

That's pretty cool! Maybe Mia's can organise a takeover of Cajee's and combine fishing and cycling like the Cycle Lab thing with the golfing thing.

OP, ignore the self proclaimed know-it-alls on here. Most of us grew up changing tubes on our bikes, but I accept that some may never have needed to do this before or never had the opportunity to do this (read, could not afford a bike ever)

Here is a basic instruction on how to do this.

What the clip does not tell you is:

- Ensure that the tyre is deflated before trying to remove it

- Remove the wheel from the bike (I've seen people trying to fix punctures without removing the wheel)

- Only remove one side of the bead from the rim

- Check the inside of the tyre for glass or thorns (possible cause of original puncture)

- Slightly inflate new tube and carefully place the tyre back on the rim using the tyre levers to get the bead over the rim on the last bit.

- Inflate slightly and work the tyre with your fingers to ensure that the tube is not pinching anywhere

- Inflate fully and fit wheel back onto the bike.

If you do not know what you are doing and cannot do it yourself, then take it to your LBS and ask them to do it for you and watch what they do.... and learn from it !!

If the sealant has glued the tyre to the rim you need to take both thumbs and press the side of the tyre away from the rim as hard as possible to break the bead - I mean press hard !!.

If you are a Sharks supporter you will probaly be tough enough to do it, remember our players are too tough for Rugby (Bismark).
