it's all depends on the gradient you're riding so if you average say 15 - 18 km/hr (assuming some climbing involved) you should get about 300 - 330 km i imagine.

that's not taking into account malfunctions that require stoppage - food / nature calls

how long is a piece of string.

600KM :whistling:

I think that this is doable, 25 km /h ave. Not going to be fun, but probably not a lot harder than what a lot of the 24 hour mtb dudes do.

Knowing you it won't be how far can you ride, more like when they run out of road will you just turn around and come back again!

A true legend.

I'd 'everest' something, as the first you get it for keeps, would be easier on logistics and safer on the dark parts as well. Though could be quite boring and you seem to like to roam.

I think this is only possible given a relatively flat route and someone to second you. If going solo and having to stop to refuel then 500KM.

I recently did a 200KM ride with 3600m ascent in 07:30h and that was with a max temp of 39C. So given the right conditions and no mechanicals or problems 500KM+. I'm not sure but i think there are a few guys who have done JHB to DBN in under 24HRS.

If you push between Beaufort West and Aberdeen and Willowmore you should get quite far. Its as straight as a ruler.... It's about 400km (thumb suck).... might be too short then

Can NOBODY read?

I am not going to go to some Stupid Flat road to cycle!

I will be cycling from one Town to a far distant other Town, maybe in less than 24 hours. The route is going to have the Most HILLS.

I am not one for a Cheap Challenge.

I know you rode from Cape Town to Laingsburg in something like 20 hours, with a heavy load and bad weather, and that route is anything but flat. It must be about 300km I guess. So, I think if you lighten the load and pick a somewhat friendlier route, you are lucky enough not to have a headwind, then 400km could be possible.
