Fat Bike

You really represent your store/ brand well...

I was making comments on the bike. You chose the personal route. I've got no problem with new brands jumping on the band wagon, but when you've got dedicated fat bike manufacturers that have been doing this for years and can explain every decision they've made re geometries etc etc, buyers should expect the same from these new brands. Not just a mass produced product trying to cash in on the bandwagon - as most mass produced products do I suppose.

Again, you've just shown your ignorance. I meant no insult, was merely challenging your product. If you had an in depth knowledge of your product or better yet, a slight knowledge of the genre you would've been able to offer an intelligent response.

All I said, if you read my reply again "stick to your XC bike then"

Obviously you are the one that took it personally, with your whinging essay replies.

Pretty sure I know a little more about Fat Bikes than you... your ignorance has proved this already.

Mine is 9 inches ... when flaccid

Perhaps do yourself a favour and find out what bikes I currently own and have owned in the past and currently ride and have ridden before making assumptions...

I dont care what your ride, I dont care what you have ridden. I just dont.

I wont be wasting any time on you.

Around R1500 each

So Titan will be making a more affordable Fatbike, but at R1500 for a tyre,a Fatbike will still be to expencive for the budget cyclist.

Will stil have to save up.....or maybe get it financed.

I don't think the Titan tyres will be that much - although the spec sheet did read Maxxis...

Whats available locally at the moment (predominantly Surly) is around R1500 - R2500.

On One have there house brand (which is widely accepted as Vee Rubber tyres) from 25GBP - 40GBP...

This sounds better,if I save up I will be able to buy a Titan Fatbike and afford tyres when the time comes for replacing them.:D

Gives me more hope and not just 'wishfull thinking'.

I see this thread has taken off a bit, and I find it quite strange. I rode a Surly fat bike in Wyoming about a year ago - rental for a day and it was pretty fun, although it handled like a mule. But it does let you ride in the snow, which means you can ride almost all year round if you're at the mercy of bad winters. So I'm wondering why folk here are so keen on the concept… Maybe riding on the beach? But is there something that I'm missing?

Run these bikes at slightly higher tyre pressures than you would for sand or snow... rigid trail weapon with AWESOME traction and some 'give' - I'll let you know how mine goes.

My LBS sent me this pic earlier this week as a teaser.

Their supplier brought it by and they requested a demo bike,so I will be getting a test drive in a month or two.
