LONDON (AP) The UCI says Team Sky rider Jonathan Tiernan-Locke faces a doping hearing after discrepancies in his biological passport.

Tiernan-Locke, who joined Sky after winning the 2012 Tour of Britain, withdrew from Britain's team at the world championships this year because of the UCI investigation.

The UCI said in a statement that an analysis of his biological passport showed "use of prohibited substances and/or methods."

The UCI has asked British Cycling to open disciplinary proceedings against the former Endura team rider.

What?! Can't be. Sky is the cleanest team out there. Pineapple juice. Volcano training. Marginal gains.

Heehee

Yip, he's been training with them recently.

I reckon he will be distanced now by Brailsford and Co

But don't worry, he did it all by himself, none of the other team members knew anything about it.

Yeah, right.

Relates to his biological passport before he joined Sky.....Tiernan-Locke was still contracted to Endura Racing when the alleged violation is claimed to have taken place

....and then when he joined Sky he changed his ways and became a choir boy in his spare time.

Knew it was only about time till the Sky lads jump up on the radar. Would be interesting to see how they handle this considering their extremely strict policy. Talking about their policy, why would they sign a guy with a doping investigation?

****-hot with Team Endura, then a non-event with Sky....mmmm...bit fishy, eh?

How does one become so mediocre from one year to the next?

Could turn this around and ask how come some now in T Sky were pretty average before?
