Hi All

I am looking for some good beginner MTB trails that are open during the week similar to Northern Farm, any suggestions?

Thanks

Rietvlei in Alberton - yellow trail 6km no technical at all, the green 9-12kms - as a not very good rider myself, I find some of the rocky sections difficult - but nothing you can't walk - chicken run options available - but really good fun.

Modderfontein - green about 16kms, no technical but long IMO if you're not very fit and some long though not super steep climbs

Haven't done the yellow.

Thanks for the VERY prompt replies, very much appreciated. Think I will give Rietvlei a shot tomorrow :).

The redbarn...

Awesome forest cycling

Is red barn open during the week?

I'm assuming Rietvlei and The Vlei Cycle Park are not the same place? I meant The Vlei Cycle Park :)

Same thing

Not too sure if Big Red Barn is open during the week. If so then I would def recommend it, awesome singletrack without being intimidating (if you stay on the green sections) some new berms added to the trails makes for a nice flowing track that you can really enjoy.

Question re. Rietvlei I often see ppl park their cars and then exit and cross over the road and go off there. Is there another trail there? Is that the free version?

They are going on a out ride , normally towards Walkerville , normally in a group so rather join up with some guys than go it alone .
