davetapson Posted March 27, 2014 Share It's those light weight components and tires they have been using. It's a balancing act - weight vs robustness. You make your decision and take your chance. These guys are so fit and strong I wonder how much saving a few grams will actually make? Are all the punctures related to running low tyre pressures? If so, there's another balancing act - traction vs not getting a puncture. Puncture wise, the first stage seemed to catch a lot of them by surprise. And most of the issues were sidewall cuts?
