Yours lasted long!

I replaced my rear Racing Ralph after stage 4, forked, which I put on brand new the day before the prologue!

:w00t:

I am riding Arisun "Mnt Graham" 29x2.2 tyres.

reinforced sidewall, kevlar bead. Seat really well on the Crest rims and you can pump up by hand.

604g (36g heavier than the Schwalbe Snakeskin)

R380 each or 2 for R735.

Been testing them for a while and they are as good as any other tyre, but a lot cheaper.

we are off at 0802, no 177. Wearing Dion Wired kit. All the best for the last stretch! Hope I don't hold you up on the technical stuff

I seriously doubt you will hold us back. The plan is to get through the Prologue safely. 2 Years back I had a big fall on the prologue of which I am reminded every time a highlight of the Epic is shown, a shot of me with a bandage round my head and blood running out my eye.

We will be in Autopage Jag kit.

I also was expecting to get their 120l world traveller bag.

Besides the nutrition which takes up a lot of space I'll need to take a few tools and spares as well cause I can't afford a mechanic service. My partner and I now organised a supply delivery halfway through the race so we don't have to pack supplement food for the whole week.

I usually take only a pillow case and stuff it with what is available - old camping trick...

Any tips what you guys think is absolute essential to bring?

What is your experience with the laundry service? Is it realistic to hand in a bag for washing and getting it back the next day?

Take it all! Rather too much than too little....but go here first: Take all your stuff with you on Epic advert

That's why the smart money chats to guys like me who travel with a truck and trailer, the 65l bag becomes an overnight bag for your cosmetics. The stuff you may or may not need but don't want to risk not having travels with me and is stored for when you want it.

I already paid you....see - must be ultra smart.... was going to call you about this today.... :)

As long as I don't have to share my cosmetics....
