Meezo Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 We were looking a month ago and they had nothing in swellendam for more than 2 people I've always stayed in the hostel at Swellendam Hoer Skool. I tried getting hold of them, but doubt there'll be place, its literally a km out from start and finish.

Detailed Route Description Start in SwellendamExit the town via Swellengrebel & turn left onto the N2.Left toward Suurbraak.Left onto R324 up Tradouw Pass towards Barrydale and left onto the R62.Over Op de Tradouw to Montagu.Straight on to R62 toward Ashton.Left onto Zandvliet Rd, where your race time will be paused for 30 minutes and you can meet up with your support vehicles. Left onto R60 towards Robertson.Left at the Robertson Circle towards Bonnievale.Before reaching Bonnievale, turn right onto R317 (Stormsvlei Rd) over Rooibrug towards Bonneivale Cellars.Before reaching Bonnievale Cellars, you will cross another set of timing mats where your race time will be paused for 30 minutes and you can meet up with your support vehicles for the last time.After taking a right at Bonnievale Cellars, turn left to head towards Drew.Turn right onto R60 & continue towards Swellendam.Turn left onto Van Eeden Str towards the finish line in Swellendam.
amoryns Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Accommodation for our all girls team booked... thank heavens, as when I googled 2 weeks ago there was NOTHING for 12 peeps. 4 riders committed so far. Last year entries were R4500.00 per team, but then add on all the extra's (transport to and from for bikes and bodies, plus food and all the training rides). Pricey ride, but gobsmackingly stunning! We train in the Cradle. We are also doing 70.3, so would be fun to add triathletes to our team, so that we can speak the same language. BUT... you have to enjoy a glass of vino or 10. We do not aim to win, rather have a good time, support each other and enjoy the ride. So bank on 8 hours!! Are you looking for more riders?
