Hectic my man, but your life / well being is far more important than a phone. Don't let this rob you of your love for the sport.

Never will dude, love it too much, won't let this incident deter me :-)

i must say, more pissed at the situation in SA than at the dudes themselves, they are statistics themselves..

Nasty dude. Hectic.

Not nice to experience something like that.

Go have a cup-o-jo or scotch with someone and mull it over.

Think of it as a kick back session, not counseling - most of the time 1 session is enough.

Take it easy pal - buzz me for a beer some time.Session

Good to still be able to talk to you mate.

Glad you safe bru! being calm is a winner if you behave any other way is when the robbers start acting sketchy.

South Africa, where you need to be calm, friendly and reasonable with your attackers or face death.

Indeed - There is no place for egos or pride in these situations, the man with the gun is boss.

sorry - I dont get this..did they plan to steal the bike and then decide not to because it was a tri bike? surely not.My take their primary objective was cash and cellphones. SURELY it is easier to get this from pedestrians than someone riding a bike.

Anyway, I am glad you are ok...and it seems you reacted in the right manner... a lesson for us all

I seriously doubt they were after the bike, they asked me for cell phones and then I actually remember on the Sunday when I put my wedding ring on that they asked me for my ring and any other jewellery.. which I didn't have..

The road is open an quite, they obviously saw an opportunity and took it, the whole thing must have lasted 2 minutes at the most..

I had to go to Atteridgeville police station to report it, that was a nightmare, more than 2 hrs and I still don't have a case number as there was no one there to actually put the docket into the system....
