My 26er is back..

Yes it is a 24" cruiser bmx. I use it mainly for pump track riding. The real BMX racers ride 20".

Haven't seen those wheels in I don't know how long, well I could work it out, but need to borrow some fingers...

I remember we used to ride skinny tyres on them, and I remember getting beaten badly the first time I raced against them... Changed my whole racing set up... I got faster and broke more bones trying to get fearless.

you've got to admit, if you really need to bliksem a driver through his window with your back wheel. a 26er will do the job better everytime. :ph34r: :ph34r:

Took my old school 26er hardtail out for a ride today at Conties after recently getting a 650b Trance, and it felt like I was going back to a BMX or a much smaller bike, it certainly felt strange.

 

I know a lot of folks say that there is barely anything in it, and that you can gain an equal advantage by running fatter tyres, but this just felt smaller, and smaller some how just felt better.

 

I felt more in tune with the trail and the bike, felt almost Zen like. It whipped around corners, flew over anything in its way, it was flipping awesome is all I can say, and that 26ers ain't dead, I'm a firm believer.

 

I can't wait till tomorrow, I even went and bought a shorter stem, and gonna see how things handle, super amped.
