Mojoman Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Managed to get out fo a ride yesterday and went to see how my dump site is!Looks like someone is making a half assed attempt at cleaning it up! Still dodgy medical stuff laying about though...no feedback from authorities other than they 'handed it over to DEA'. I suppose the quack will get away with this at the end of the day, makes me pretty miff about it all. I would have thought they would bring in a truck, pick it all up at once and then invoice the doctor? Guess not!

I found it rather interesting.I was on my way to a nearby town the other day, with me was a black lady from our office.On the way back she had bought herself a packet of chips and a juice.She finished it, rolled her window down and dumped it.I wasnt happy and told her so.She explained to me that black people see it like this; By littering you are creating a work opportunity for somebody as somebody has to be employed to pick up that litter. You are playing an indirect role in job creation.It just wont work in Bloem. The city manager will rather use the money to buya new BMW and pay non performance bonuses to council members. Sorry, that does not fly anymore....may as well blame apartheid (which I have heard blamed for littering on 702 before)
Bonus Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 And my (hopefully) final project...had an overturned truck in town on Sunday, whatever was in it made the water in this drain go orange/yellow! They had a hazzardous waste crew come and clean up but now there are all these yellow bags dotted around since Monday! Nice sight for visitors! Is this out on the Magaliesberg road?

Put some posters up outside his office... The dumping of medical waste is illegal, so I guess you could lay a charge against the alleged source.
finallygotabike Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 it often happens - Upstanding citizen pays local clowns to come collect their rubbish and dump it, thinking it would be done in an honourable way at a proper dump site. These local clowns then take the money and drive to another suburb and dump said rubbish where they find a spot.
