Finally got my hands on one of these bad boys last week.

Didnt have time to build a wheel onto the hub for a test ride but all in due time!

It would look so ridiculously hot a couple of SS bikes I can think of!

:D

you are just as bad as BOGUS by putting that fork/hub combo on the bricks, or are you going to tell us you also have a small piece of black leather under there :)

That does look so good, and yes I agree with you RE that fork on a SS build .... a Steel SS build :)

Yes! You cant see it in the photo but there are two small pieces of old road tube under the hub. And there is a small patch of grass between the paving lines which the tube pieces are resting on.

Took me 5 minutes to cut to size and everything.

What did the bad boy cost

Had a Maverick DUC32 and never had a fear of scratching the Stanchions, don't know of others who had issues either

have had a few Lefty's and never cut a boot on a rock or something. People are always looking for problems where there aren't any on this forum

Have just priced some RS options for a potential build...

RS-1 R 20,748 + R2668 for the hub

(And that mark up could be considered "cheap")

Reba RL R7,300

Rev RCT3 R8,300

SID XX R9,630

Canyon Lux has it fitted for 4400 euro.Wouldn't it be cheaper buying a bike and selling off what you don't need?

Yikes. I'd rather have 3 RCT3's!!!

You will only find two types of people riding with the RS-1: a) Sponsored riders and b) those guys who go up and down chappies for their morning "mtbike" ride and then stopping in campsbay for the post ride coffee where they will pose for at least 2 hours next to their bike.

There is a third.
