well, Jens is married so it would have to be a shared bedroom with an on-suite

instead of a walk in closet, have a walk in bike closet for kit gear and a mini work stand. with spot lighting (like a surgery, for the bike oon its stand

This would be perfect for Jens's mechanic's house....

Turn the place into a spa of sorts and both Jens and his missus will be amped!

Well, a turntable with good amplification and electrostatic or Sonus Faber speakers, Magico's will be first prize.

Then a few Budnitz bikes on the wall.

A fridge stocked to the brim with Castle Lights, Stella Artois and some craft beers.

A chocolate vending machine.

Coffee machine with a decent and fully stocked cookie jar.

A cupboard stocked with Cognac and biltong.

En suite bathroom with a shower and a Jacuzzi.

Mirrors on the roof and a king size bed with a Tempur mattress standing on pristine genuine wooden floors.

52 inch TV. with a Playsation 3 and 4 and a DSTV explora.

A pole for the pole dancing babes, and last but not least, just babes and they need to understand, that they are allowed only high heels, but no tops allowed.

You might want to add a kids rumpus room close to the bedroom.... suitable for 6.... seeing as he has 6 kids... think that might kill me....

Perhaps a dedicated stretch room/area as well... we know he is getting older...

I would not do the room in cycling theme as said before. i studied industrial design and all i see is kitch thus far.. think along the lines of simple, cycling kit specific closet, nespresso in the corner, foam roller on foam mar for rolling but build the mat into the floor. have you actually watched jens after a race?? all the man do is eat cookies and cake and REST. so i would add a tv, some flace for his sinfull carb craves etc

Coffee machine in a dedicated cavity in the wall. Shower with multiple jets onto legs, Spa bath. Huge bed with high count Egyptian cotton. Infra red heaters above washbasin for early morning tooth brush and shave. Built in music. Huge screen TV. Laundry area to take off wet clothes (I like the chute). Dedicated wall / space for the kids art. Very subtle / no cycle stuff - this is not his office. Open pigeon hole packing space for cycle kit.

so this is my idea, I'm going to design the room around his bike (

) because his bike is the closest thing he has to his family and everything that's important to him while he is racing and not at home. The room will be intimate and private. I won't be incorporating anything for his children as they have their own space to mess up. This space will be for him to relax with his wife and to take some time off as that's what a room is about. The room will have space to hang up his bike close to the exit, some cycling memorabilia from his past like the Peace race he won which is very important to him and his country. some other elements will be photo's of family anything else he asks for. I will be designing a free flowing room (http://static.dezeen.com/uploads/2011/02/dzn_House-in-Nasu-by-Kazunori-Fujimoto-91.jpg) with a divider and the bed against the divider with the bathroom at the back. To solve the problem of waking up his wife, A cool light will turn on at whatever time and illuminate the ceiling creating a subtle light to help him get up.

this is what I have done so far, not the finished design. but a basic idea :) let me know what you think!
