Kittel is an absolute brute on the flats. Head and shoulders above everyone else. I just hope he's a modern day Cipo who has to climb off his bike as soon as the mountains arrive. That will give Viviani a chance to start scoring me some points for the red jersey.

I don't know what I was thinking. I knew he'd win all the flats but for some reason though 'I've got a plan'. So to make up some points I'll need my rag tag bunch of pedalers to include a couple of stage winners, some decent placings and take out the jersey at the end.

That may very well happen as surely he will be thinking ahead to Le Tour?
