deanbean Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 then you can just as well join the R72 at Nanaga. The N2 from PE to KWT is crapHey Fanie, drove down to CT on the N2 from KWT and it wasn't too bad. Most of the construction seems done. No stop/go's. The road is goog to the Fish River. Only small sections poor.

Chinese carbon - had to sell some of my bikes before the move. Course is quite hilly so I thought id just use the road bike instead of spending more bucks.Very nice - looks like a Pinarello? F8 China style Wheels are the real deal

Oxter Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Good luck and Safe travels for everyone. Conditions look more or less the same as last year so far, which i am happy about. When are you guys heading down to EL?
Foxbat Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 if you are not in a hurry https://goo.gl/maps/HGzya there are roadworks between PE and Kingwilliamstown on the N2, best bet to take the R72 after Nanaga. the road isn't in the best of condition after Port Alfred so take it slow.Road works are finished.

PrinceVlad Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Starting to really get nervous when reading last years thread. This will be my first 70.3 in East London and I am, at this stage SH*^&%NG myself! I did TriRock Durban at the beginning of October and Global Eleven in November. Due to life happening, my last long ride was at the end of November. Since then I have only done a few session on the trainer. I have done a fair bit of running since and I did a half marathon this Saturday and improved my PB by 9 minutes. I am also confident with the swimming. It is just the bike that freaks me out. At this stage I am doubting whether I should even start. Please Please, a few words of encouragement. Thanks
