Alex Harris is also most likely to win it! Hmmm I wonder if this is more of ah investment for him ;-)

USD 10 000.00 puts it out of range for most of the Hubbers I do believe unless sponsored.Would have loved to give a go though.

I'd love to see Alex and Martin Dreyer take this on as a team, two hard men.

I know that he wouldn't. But they would make a good team.

It sounds like a race for the really crazy okes, wonder who from the hub is mad enough to sign up.

I know exactly who would be crazy enough to do this....in fact he is so crazy that he will do it on a SS.

I'm sure once he recovers from the launch last night, he will be out training :)

Entrance fee could be a bit of a hurdle though - yikes!!!

We may have to set up a "Hubbers help the Crusher become a millionaire fund"...I'm sure he will share the winnings with us though!

I was at the launch last night. Very professional. Single stage from Bloem to Stellies, Approx 1,000km. Route to be announced day before start.

Entry fee - $10,000 per team

1st prize - $750,000

2nd prize - $100,000

3rd prize - $ 50,000

If you make the cut off (5 days I think) you go into draw for $ 100,000.

Would love to do it. Need partner and $ 5,000.

Awesome initiative. Really throwing it out there - and going to redefine the benchmark for tough.

Will be interesting to see how guys like Plattos and Sauser will do (if they enter / if they enter as a team :) ) - they may get their massages and all at the end of the day at the epic, but I'm not sure they are delicate flowers.

If they are as hard as the adventure racers tho, remains to be seen.

Can't wait. Beginning of December is going to be a write-off!

Route will be marked, its not navigation.

Winners will be ones that can go without sleep for couple of days while staying upright on bike.

The guys to look out for on this one are the top Epic boys... but not in the Elite category, the older buggers - tough as nails, diesel power. With this prize money though, who knows who it could attract - I'm sure some there will be some very interesting faces on that start line!
