Hmm. What is he stressed about? A failing business? Makes sense and I feel for him if true but he needs to honour his commitments

Been sticking with him, and trying to be supportive.

Honestly hope he gets his workshop back together and gets things working on his side.

Could be being suckered, or the bro is really in a tough spot and getting sorted.

Reached out to this guy now, I suspect I know where he got the parts from and have sent this guy the parts co's info so he can reach out to them and see if this was one of theirs.

My guess is that the mechanic owes them money, and he does not want to make contact with them again.

Sorry mate - this is just one massive screw up.

All good. I do think we will eventually cross the finish line ok.

Took a closer look at the pics.  The small crevices of the motor look to be really clean. He would not have cleaned the engine other than if he did split the casings to flush and clean it properly.

So being positive here.

The little RC8 has arrived at its new home….So, she is a 2010 model which means an 1150 cc engine, not 1190. +-152 hp and not 170 of the R model. But the torque is very similar. No rider aids at all but then again, I am used to that from the older 1098. Styling is not for everyone but I like the bike. Original rear indicator unit is a big plus for me, perhaps not in looks but originality.
