That is a really lovely DBD34.  Im a long way off that stage with mine... busy with all the prep work on the cycle parts which are now mostly complete and ready to assemble..engine and gearbox last ...also an original Clubmans model fortunately

Thanks.  My Dad's plan was to enter it for the best bike on show at 1000 Bikes eventually but he never got that far and this year, even though it was done, I was a bit scared to leave it alone over the weekend!

Any end in sight?

The week that was

EDIT: Small white lie, I did the oil and filter changes myself, but the HD does need to go in for a brake bleed and overall holistic check on gear cables, bearings, etc.

The chrome one is a  genuine Clubman - the one in the pic is more a Venom with some Thruxton bits added and some random parts I had in my roof!

@Andymann, I'm curious about this trailer.  I'm assuming the channel is attached directly to the axle, without any leaf spring in between?  Does it not bounce around?  I'd be keen to build something similar, to tow 2 MX bikes.  Please post some pics when you get a chance.

It's an SA crib of one of these - made by Bikelug.  I don't think they still exist, but it's been brilliant.  A few small modifications, but generally speaking tows like a dream.

That is very handy, I think I may need to give the video to my son and let him draw it up in AutoCAD and then work out how much it will cost to build a few...

Edit: Seems Motolug still exists, so there may be some Patent issues if I copy it...

We wait with bated breath to hear the next installment of this saga.  In these days of binge watching series on Netflix, we are no longer used to waiting a whole week for the next episode.

Next Time on Orange is the new Orange...

Does Mechanic's blood pressure stabilise, and he's released from hospital, is it really his blood pressure, is he really in hospital, or did he go on a test ride and decide to run off with Hairy's new mistress....

Does Hairy's patience run out, and he goes on the rampage, taking vengeance on  the "Youngsters".

Perhaps an unexpected inheritance allows Hairy to buy the beleaguered Orange Austrian bike Company, saving it from the clutches of the Indian shareholders, and saves BB33's Moto GP team from the inevitable corporate cost cutting restructuring.

Tune in next week for another nail biting episode...

I follow the Scammer Alert South Africa FB page and I'm afraid a lot of the screenshots that people post after they have lost their money show the scammers as being in hospital with stomach cramps or heart issues.....

But......maybe this is genuine

I was at my HD workshop the other day, and mentioned my KTM struggles.

He noted his neighbour has a great KTM mechanic, they call to get the no. and they show me the contact ..... had to break it to him that this is the same guy I am having issues with.

Thing is, when he DOES work on the bikes, he is good.

Morning Fellow Bike Enthusiasts. I am thinking to move my big KTM1190R on and the replacement would be a road bike. Both very tasty. Both reasonably desirable in certain circles. I am a big fan of the LC8 engine as some of you may know (have an 1190 S Adventure ) but also a fan of the 916/748 as a collectable.

I welcome any input in this as unfortunately the time has come that my collection is now one out before one in…….though I did recently off load a DT125 and FS50.

A friend who has a yellow 748 says he'd take the RC8 all day long.  He says the 748 is heavy, slow steering and under powered...
