What can you guys tell me about laundry bags.

Does the Miele laundry service include such a bag or do I provide my own?

U get a bag U throw your clothes in you pay according to weight you get your kit back 2 days later if I am not mistaken , Its easy , I do remember a few guys were given kit in 2013 because there was a slight mess up

Also I think there is only 1 or 2 wash days so take as much kit as possible

We got our kit yesterday all I can say is WOW Andrew at anatomic made a flippen awesome kit,,,, you guys won't miss us

The race villages along the joBerg2c route offer two pick-up points along the way.

  • Reitz – end of day 2 – delivered to Winterton – end of day 4 (2 sets of kits)
  • Clifton Prep – end of day 5 – delivered to MacKenzie Club end of day 7. (maximum 3 sets of kit can be handed in)

This is an independent service offered by the local communities sponsored by Miele Appliances.

Note the following:

  • A maximum of three sets of cycling kit per wash will be accepted by the collectors
  • If your Miele bag is over filled your kit will not wash properly or dry properly so use your noggin
  • Only cycling kit – shorts, socks and shirts will be accepted
  • Bookings are not required for this service.

Thanks, I ask because in one of the packing lists it says laundry bag so another dude I know is worried about whether or not he must bring his own one...

4 more sleeps

My emotions are swinging between excited and terrified

Not helped by a small hamstring/back of knee twang I developed on Sunday  :cursing:

Oh no Splat, hope the knee twang was just nerves :(  You've got 3 1/2 days to recover ...

Ditto for me... on our last ride yesterday. Physio says my quad is tight, so it's pulling my knee cap up, which is resulting in the femur rubbing on it - hurts like a mother biatch.

Much better already after a physio session and a bit of stretching

Would feel a lot better about things if I'd trebled my training mileage

I strongly suggest scented nappy bags, after everyday "seal " wet stinky smelly kit or that tent gets nasty QUICKLY, IF you don't seperate the clean clothes from the dirty

The Miele sponsored laundry bags are numbered and the service is free. Hand in and collect/drop off at the next collection/drop off point. Easy easy fellas.
