It's OK'ish (mostly because I understand some of the language), just completed it over two nights with the lighty...it's like Patch rightly points out too much of too much. That being said, the children love it, lots of stuff happening, blowing up and fighting rhino's.

This

It is geared for the kids / teens

When I go watch superhero movies these days, it's all about entertainment and letting my inner kid come out to chill.

I don't expect any cathartic moments of a surge into enlightenment.

Special effects have held up really well on that. Classic movie. And you have to love Goldblum's character.

Just as many wifes in the movie as in real life...

Was actually pitting it off for a fair while as I was afraid of the CGI being too cringeworthy. But to my pleasant surprise it was pretty decent by today's standards. Must of been a revelation in '93.

I first saw the movie in the Constantia Theatre in Benoni... From the balcony. Back when movie theaters had just once screen... And it blew me away. I still think the sound back then was better than most little cubbyhole movie theaters these days.

Bought it on Blu Ray a couple of years ago and enjoyed it just as much.

Spielberg has a knack of ensuring his movies stand the test of time when it comes to special effects cgi and models

It was a game changer when it came out!

In about 20 years you guys should get your first 3D movie, also pretty cool.
