What an amateur....everyone knows you should use reverend as salutation for more credibility. Admiral or adjudant hoof sersant might also work

I'm in the same boat as many. I hardly ever post but read often. I'm building a bike at present and have bought stuff on the hub and currently am attempting to sell a fork, long story. Fact is I try to make sure my posts add something to the community or I don't bother. My build thread for instance I thought added something so I put it up but I'm not going to post arb pictures of people bailing off their bikes as funny as I might find them for the same reason I often don't bother to like people's photos on facebook. But I fully intend to present the item I'm selling honestly and answer any questions asked properly since that is how I expect to be treated when buying something. Maybe a small waiting period could be asked for but 100 posts is quite a lot actually and 1000 is months to years at my rate.

That's not really an analogous comparison. I take Shaper's point however. I don't mean it maliciously, it just feels like it would be nice to somehow "convert" them to being part of a good community instead of just using the site and never contributing.

This web site is a business, and part of that business is classified ads. It amazes me how many forget this and assume that just because they are allowed to be part of this community they somehow have a say in how the business is run.

maybe, but then again its my prerogative. After a thousand posts you can fairly judge someones character. Some okes are require less but a thousand seems to be a good benchmark for me.

Haha! you must spend ages going through all 1000 posts before transacting with someone new..

But as you stated - it is your prerogative.

I guess we all have our own criteria for deciding who we will, or will not deal with, so whatever works for you..

Not really...willing buyer, willing seller....that is the thing with a 1000 posts, you kind of know the person before they sell or buy

Maybe one needs to warm up the brain cells responsible for common sense and decide self if certain people are legit or not.

I’m personally waiting for my 2000 post count before I start to befok people here.

Ill say it again - you have quantity, not quality

When I get to 50000, I'm selling everything. Including your hub account.

You better have a towel handy 'cause you are definitely going to take a bath on that transaction.....

But this is the Hub, where not only do we tell people daily how to run their businesses but also what to charge for their products/service/race entries.....
