I remember reading somewhere that the way they got those cats to leave their milk bowls was that each bowl was filled with a varying level of Plaster of Paris covered by a thin layer of milk. When the cat reached the Plaster of Paris it just moved to the next bowl. Might have been one of those urban legends though....

This morning I remarked to Blondie about him. I saw  he plays a role on a recent tv series. When I was a lightie he was magnum PI. He must one of the longest surviving popular actors that I know.

Remember he shocked people with that dude-on-dude kiss in some movie?

Isn't the recent series called True Blue?

Very, very nearly bought a "Magnum" Ferrari about 15 years ago because of Magnum PI - it was going for a very pricely sum back then of R280000 and it was between that, and a new Alfa 156 Sportwagon for R240000. Would have been my first proper car after I qualified. Luckily sanity prevailed after I took it for a test drive and realised it wasn't nearly as romantic as Magnum made it look!

Took me 10 years to get my Mech Eng degree! Started in 1990 and took the scenic route :-) When I eventually graduated in 2000, I had to work for 3 years as an Engineer in Training before I could be appointed as a qualified Mech Engineer. Gave my poor parents many grey hairs....

My youngest came home with Afrikaans homework the other night... Had to write the lyrics to this and draw a pic of the monkey on the barrel.
