So my better half travelled a bit and bought me 3 pairs of Endura Singletrack baggies with click in liner shorts. I have never used baggies. When she asked if I wanted some it sounded like a good idea. I have not worn them yet and every time I open the cycling drawer they stare at me.

My question is who on here wears baggies and why do you wear them? I either need to convince myself to wear them or get rid of them.

never never...your wind resistance will increase and your time will drop by 0.00000001 seconds. All the girls will laugh at you...and so will the boys

Thanks for the replies. What shirts do you wear with baggies?

Regular cycling jersey, or a baggier "trail" type jersey, or even a polyester-type sports t-shirt.

Wear them, and love them. Have the fox Ranger baggies. Wear them on all my training rides, and I ride a Spez Epic. Still race with bibs, but prefer the baggies, especially when going for breakfast or coffee after a ride. Wear them with cycling jersey, dont like floppy jerseys. Most riders abroad, US and Uk that ride mtb wear baggies, in SA we have a XC culture, and tend to wear what the pros wear. But let me tell you, baggies are really the "big thing" at this stage in SA. Even seeing some pro riders riding baggies.

They are useless, give them to me and I'll dispose of them, like a lot of others lining up here.

Love baggies and those enduras are some of the best out there, used to be under rated until they won about every group test going again and again!

As Jonny said, it's an XC country with big distances, races, big lycra and biggest consumption of 29rs in the world. Horses for courses.

As for what you wear with them... what ever you like. I run normal cycling jerseys, tshirts, overseas people are addicted to plaid and checks. It's not a fashion show but just steer clear of wife beaters and tap outs... never those.

And for the times when you pace above 35 km/h on those straits, just open the zip on the side that let the air through. I wear mine on 100 km rides with the normal liner, no probs at all
