Dirkitech Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I find G-Form totally overpriced for the "protection" it affords. There are much better products for around the same price or less. Problem is a lot of shops don't stock a wide range of protective products and uninformed riders wanting to buy protection will walk in and go for the g-forms as they are usually stocked at the more mainstream stores. Edit: Not hating on G-Form, just personally I think they need to look at their pricing to protection value. If they were cheaper, then I'd say go for it, but for now, there's other products that do much better for the price.for the sake of educating the uninformed (me), could you mention these products/brands, please?

Guest Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 They sure are. The New AirFlex range is holding up well and performing as proclaimed. They're comfortable , as with all other Leatt protective gear, and I hardly notice it being on my body.Stealthy look & feel. Can / have & do ride in em all day - no matter how hot.Still needs to go for the 1st wash.Held up nicely to 2 good spills thus far which ordinarily produce big long roasties. No more of that. The AirFlex is definitely an item I'll use for everyday Trail riding and long hours in the saddle.I'm pleased with them thus far. Long term use will be interesting too.Stay tuned. For more aggressive Trail riding to Enduro races & DH I would stick to the 3DF Knee & Elbow as well as the 3DF Hybrid series pads.
Slowbee Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 which ones would you suggest for a wife who wants to ride s2c and is worried about her knees if she falls ? Say something that would keep her "safe" and give her confidence if she rode canaries (the last bit of middle canary and the lower section). oh yes, who has stock so we can size and try ?

Raydek Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Is there anywhere in the Cape Town area that a person can walk into and try on a range of different products from different brands? Really keen on getting some elbow/forearm and knee pads/guards, but would really like to fit and feel before buying..
