Does anyone have a photo of these?

Was riding past this weekend and it honestly looks like a small mob of miners came with pickaxe's and started mining the man hole...

It can't be people bailing as it's pretty impossible to bail to the side of these things...

The man holes in question are the one's between Victory park and Emmarentia...

Anyone have any idea's?

were they all broken or gone? I don't really understand your question...

Wish I had taken a photo, the one is missing, the other one is half out (Like someone tried to take it but failed) and the concrete/brick structures they are placed are chiselled away and super badly damaged

ah okay... was there on Sunday but didn't notice.

The manhole covers are stolen and sold for scrap.

All / best to be done is to report to municipality or Joburg Water.

Sorry for the hijack which is slightly off topic, but did anyone else notice the crazy number of Hansa beer cans just after Virgin active on the way up to Emmerentia. The place was littered with empty cans but what I was really shocked by was that there must have been around 40 unopened six packs scattered everywhere. I am guessing a nearby bottle store got hit recently.

I only noticed the empty ones, I think by Sunday afternoon the locals were onto it. Probably a hit on one

Those cans have been there for a while - looked like an informal recycler just dumped a load of recycling... did NOT know that they were unopened!

this place sounds like such a lekker ride...

OH HELL Yeah, it is!! I love the smell of sewerage in the morning. The best part of the spruit, other than the aroma emitted from the open manhole sewers is the endless flock of WattWatchers who can like to be setting new and world-important strava times - just the best!

So you one of the Sunday afternoon over-weight recreational riders?

Go rather ride Norther Farms rather.

Same s h i t, different place. Just more distance in the ride
