Heard about that, is the oke ok? Where was it on the route? Our Marshal going down the avenue with all the potholes was so close you could not see the pothole until it was too late. But really glad had them for the rest of the route, did very good job.

It was at the right turn just passed Atlantis. The marshal stopped his bike in the corner. Paul van Zweel took the corner first going straight into the bike, nearly taking Jos and myself out as well.

Ek haal my hoed af vir die enigste dame in die ouderdoms kategorie 70-79 wie die 66km afgele het in 3ure 39 sekondes.  Wel gedaan!

Wow ....

What a great event! Was really impressed with the organisation this year. And the marshalls seemed jacked and organised from what I saw on the 66km route. Obviously the road surface was terrifying, but surely that's an issue for Public Works and not the organisers? Maybe by next year those potholes will be fixed *fingers crossed*. Nice prizes at prize giving as well and general good atmosphere from everyone we met on the road.

I picked up bike computer on West Coast road today if you lost your they may contact me to identify.

My Garmin's K-Edge mount also broke off in the final descent towards the Weskuspad.

I looked back and saw cars and a big bunch crossing over the spot.

Fortunately, I recovered it - the silicon cover saved its azzz from being totally wrecked

I must add, one thing that also impressed me was the lack of gel/chocolate packet/wrappers on the road.  I think I counted 4 the entire way.  Well done to the riders for keeping it clean

Life was a bit boring at the start of L, then we caught up to K at 35kms and J at 60kms, then my saddle bag came loose and started flapping around. Decided to cruise til a group of 20 came along and got the front guys of the short route on the rough roads out of Atlantis. Altogether a Lekka day out.

3 of those must be mine. I took my one energy bar out of my back pocket, and my other energy bar and both my energy gels came out with it and fell. No way was I going to stop and pick it up and loose my bunch in the process.

You must have been one of faster riders. I was wayyyyyyyy at back of 66km (W group) and saw quite a bit of gel packs on road.

To organizer - great race (my first) but how about some toilets along the route? The guys can stand hidden behind those trees but you have to consider the ladies. Also by time we got to water stations all that was left was a wave and applause from those manning the stations. Marshalls and everyone did great job.

All in all - I will do it again.

Anybody notice the "dearly departed horse"? I wanted to pull over and call SPCA... did so after the race and just waiting on confirmation when they will do what they call "clean up"

Also rode in E and enjoyed the Pure Savage team trying to win the Pacman award of the year eating the groups. Jus managed to hang on to the bunch till the end. I think I was the last person to hang on over that last hill. Anyone see the horses on our right towards Darling. Seemed they wanted to join the bunch, very cool. Pace was much easier after dassenberg going home, thank goodness. Annoyed that my powertap stopped after an hour, might have been interesting figures.

That was gruesome, also reported yesterday, lets hope it's sorted out already.

E group was the bunch to be in.

A couple of the Craft boys also put some effort in to keep the pace up. Great to reap the results of teams working together.

Was a good one.

Was late for the race and started in group I and finished with majority of C, D and E's.

When determining your seeding, do they take into account your start group, or is it just your time vs winners?
