Slowbee Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Ou Kaapse Weg Route, a few years back.Even this route is under threat right now !! Constantia is burning in a horrible way. There is simply no way they will close that road. No way they will have so many cyclists in the way of emergency vehicles. There are simply not enough roads to get everyone around the mountain safely, unless they take us into the flats. If the fire continues to move down constantia and starts to threaten lower tokai and kirstenbosch, then the M3 will be out. To wait for a few days and find out if this will happen is simply a no no. They will decide tonight. Gold medal, it rains all night and the fire is out, then we go Ou kaaps. If the fire is not out - we are heading north. Best bet for now - the head the route north.
