Loved everything about it! I did the 30km, was easiest except that last mother of a hill eish!

Any one know what the exact distance was for the 30km run?

Much better then the previous 2 that I have done.

Did the 55km and had no bottlenecks and the route was great!

I think the organisers did well...

BIG Improvement.

I also ended on 58.9km.

The 55km was great. I started in one of the later batches and still had no serious issues with bottlenecks. Sure we had to slow down at a few obstacles where someone fell or didn't make it up the other side of a river crossing but nothing more than a few seconds wait.

HUGE improvement over previous years!!

I did the 30Km, my computer showed 33.6km not sure how accurate that was, overall it was a great route except that last hill climb just about killed me, not a single bottle neck, will be back next year!!!!

Also had in awesome ride, started right at the back of A6 and finished 35th in my group, and still had no bottle necks to complain about. The climbing at the end was hectic. Not as scenic as the Trailseeker races etc. but was just as much fun.

The singletrack sections in Northern Farm's wer amazing. Only rant I have is to that massive iguana standing in the middle of the single track, please move to the side if you're not riding, thank goodness I saw you early enough and managed to stop before I hit you.

Strangely did not find that last climb, make that actually 2nd last not that bad, even with my left knee deciding to drop me and both my legs cramping up from 40km.

What a great event. Did the 55km loop. The heat was ridiculous, think a lot of the guys on the route were struggling with dehydration and cramps. Got three punctures and now realise that tubeless is the only way (Paid my school fees). Think this race was well organised, not many bottlenecks. Steyn City was a nice addition to the race, spectacular views.

Well done to all the finishers.

Great race, they did very well with the route planning, I did't encounter a single bottle neck. Parking was good as well, easy to get in and out. I got 58.4km, but it didn't make much of a difference to me.

I am worried about Sunday though, especially with the roadworks on the R511 which already caused problems yesterday.

Fantastic event, no trouble with bottlenecks, super fun - defs what other mass participation mtb events need to learn from!

My garmin measured 57.9km... Not only that but the water points were also way out from where they were supposed to be. Not sure how that happens but that's the only "complaint" I could make. Would do the event 10x over exactly as it was.

Incredible ride. Thin k they had too many Red Bulls before the race. Did you see the so called first ladies' time.   I smell a huge rat.

It was well organised and I appreciated all the medics and search and rescue vehicles along the way. The heat was just unbearable and I suffered with multiple cramps. Disappointed, because my time suffered heavily because of this. But still a great event, I will definitely be back next year.

Moral of the story ?

Don't cramp, train more and use Elete ?
