Looks like we have reached that stage in the thread where, depending on one's prediliction, Froome is either a :-

1. Doper; or

2. A Saffa.

I think he is pure class on the bike. And a gentleman off it.

I think we have reached the point I predicted a few weeks back.

If Contador starts losing it's because Froome is doping lying cheat.

If Froome starts losing it's because he is a boring SA deserting twat and Contador is a genius on a bike.

QDog starts dishing a whipping it's because we have all said so, and that we have been saying it for years!

Lots of confessions have identified the rest days as the days they took their "oil change". Another small thing that raised an eyebrow.

Perhaps people recover during a rest day because it's a rest day?

I recall Armstrong stating something similar

No you don't. You making it up.

Armstrong said he had never tested positive then he fought legal actions to prevent his samples being retested.

Practically homegrown???? Yeah we cultivated and nurtured his academic and cycling skills till 2008. When he went to cycle in Britain he change his nationality to that of his parents.

South Africa was just a boarding station for him. He deserted SA. So no need to support him.

Just my two cents.

We did? I don't remember having anything to do with it.

I'm pretty sure he all the support in the world from CSA though. Like Daryl Impey had. Ask Daryl sometime about all the support he has had from CSA. That was sarcasm by the way.

Nee Contador was crappy today because well, he had no legs that was quite clear to see.. everone basically past him.. only Nibbles didn't, who was even more crappy than Bert today.

Still hoping Nairo can make a comeback, but I reckon it's a race for 2e and 3rd.

Naaairo!!!!

I seriously hope astana let Fulslang go for some stages. NIBBLES is not a going to improve.

Looks like he'd been sent up the road today. Limit his losses because Nibali is toast?

It's the beginning of week 2

I'm hoping for a bad day for the Skyborgs

All these efforts add up and can lead to some watt deficit (bonking) in days to come.

Quintana and TvG still look determined

Berto is a proven champ and might still contest as he is clever and experienced.

Nibs look defeated hey

Ja but only after they saw that Nibbles was really toast..

Nibs was not really a proper contender ever, never won a grand tour with Froome, Quintana or Contador in it.

Even his team has said Nibali no longer leader at TDF this year.

Ja we can always hope hey, ag I was really hoping it would be closer to the very end, but I don't think it's going to happen.

JIP..Nibbles is kaput..

Bert maybe be able to recover a bit and as you say he is smart.. everyone must let sky do all the work and hope for weakness towards the end of the stages.

It seems many hubbers are talking like the TDF is done, we can now all pack away the tables and chairs and start packing up the car coz it's time to go home. Folks, it's the first day of the mountains! Come on, we're only just getting started! We're not done - in fact, we're not even half way yet. Lots more twists left in this soapie. So chill a bit, and don't just give up like that. Those guys certainly haven't.

I wonder how many of the doubters have thought about the current criminal status of doping in France versus Italy or Spain, which I think are a bit more lax and where other teams may have over-performed. And how Brailsford was the person sitting opposite David Millar when they both got bundled off in the back of a van. Of course, they could be more ballsy than even we think, but I suspect Bert is just buggered from the Giro, and the Sky people have just tapered down to perfection. Froomey wasn't yet fully rested at the Dauphine, so made Tejay look a bit better than he is.

And best, now the others HAVE to attack. Chris is not going to have an easy ride.
