Haha! Looks more like a "rolling floppie" to me. Someone must have told her: "Whatever happens, hold on to your handlebars." Looks like that rigid fork is about to bend backwards. I am sure that was one hard face-plant... Shame.

WHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If i called her a floppie I would have got another suspension.

WHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Love your work

No I was stuck behind a few of the 20km guys, and saw the ramp a bit late, and I could not build up enough speed as my front wheel hit the ramp I realised hier kom `n ding :-) still landed nicely but that face !!!

the lack of skill here is alarming...

all of a sudden I feel for the organizers after taking so much blame for the accident count!

I raised that point earlier...people try do stuff they are not qualified to do and then blame the organisers

Considering that many photos show rigid forks, and not the single speed variety, but rather the PnP/Makro type = noobs. It's no wonder there were so many crashes/falls/complaints.

All to true, but the scary part if that on the tv broadcast they said that the organisers are aiming for 10k people next year on a new track. I think i will most likely give it a miss next year if they aiming at doubling the entries.

Entry fee? Think it was around R350. Or do mean the amount of entries? Around 5000

Lets say R300 x 5000 = R150,000.00 .........Damn ... I am organising a ride in town with a couple of planks slapped together for a "tech" feature every now and again!

Or R350 x 5000 = R175,000.00

Yah it looks good on a cheque. But in one of the threads (not sure if its this one), someone did a breakdown of the budget and then it looks a lot less favourable. I know the organisers on some of the other races make about R25k per race, but that is excluding transport and cellphone costs. So in the end its probably closer to R22k. But times that by 5 races per year it's still not a bad second income
