Performance enhancing substances among amateurs

Careful here, thinking someone is doing it and proving that they are doing it are very different things.

I agree 100% , but the bloke said he has proof and will take to authorities.

I am not advising him to post the names here, won't really help anybody and Emma will just get to send more mails.

So in summary, process should be followed and we will get to see who they are sooner or later if proven guilty, but those first steps need to be taken.

I have some issues keeping me awake at night (nothing illegal), but if my whole life was a lie such as D2S's has been, I would not close an eye.

Fail of the day goes to D2S's rant about people hiding behind their online profiles...."lekker windgat slinging your faceless responses around, cowards"

bwaaahahahahahahaha

I dont have enough ambition to be an amateur doper, I am happy to ride my bike when I can. Competetiveness has never been my strong point, i dont have the personality for it.

Boasting? Well executed Googling? And you go tmy age completely wrong brother Wyatt... And poor Andrew, he must have taught you a few lessons on your day, hence the accusation. He is much more intelligent than to dope. (Not as dumb as me!)

Let me hit you with some irony! I have had NO LESS THAN 64 PM's sent to me people who are requesting help! The sport is SICK! Not only me! Only I know that I have stopped and YOU are not to judge because you do not know me!

You are all lekker windgat slinging your faceless responses around, cowards! I wanted to come clean and make a difference, but hey, with arrogant pricks like some of you I would rather shut up and keep all the stuff to myself than being insulted like this. i have been 100% honest, my intention was NOT to boast.

I stand before my God and He knows me and my heart, my deepest secrets and my hearts desires. You will not judge me, only God judges. This is exactly why people withhold the truth, because YOU cant handle the truth.

I am a man of my word, you don't know me at all.

This is a hard topic and you cant face the fact that everyone is sick in this sport! 64 requests I received, is it me or the sport????

All those who sent me PM's for advice, here's my advice:

Visit your nearest Sports Physiologist and ask for advice.

Some more irony, I have my "normal" profile and I am quite popular among you guys, I will always know who I am, you will never know me, I will always know who the people are that asked me for PED's and will never utter any word. This will be forgotten and never spoken of again.

Sorry for what I did to the sport..

If you saw that as an accusation towards him, then you need to pull your eyes through your crack ,he is probably the only competitive guy left who would have lived through the years you mentioned.

As far as I am concerned, he is probably the best cyclist we have as well as the most consistent.

Come and tell me I am windgat face to face and we can deal with it like real men, sounds to me like all the rubbish you took has already clouded your judgement as well as your tenacity to think clearly.

What is your normal profile name, or re you too "concerned" about others that you don't even have the decency for that ?

Your post came across as no concern but a warning to some extent.

No ,you rather resort to name calling and insulting the people whom you have such a "grave concern" for .

We can handle the truth, can you handle being more truthful ?

I appreciate you coming on here (even if I don't have much respect for you as a doper), I can respect you coming on here and again reminding people of the problems we have in our sport.

People are quick to judge (especially anonymous keyboard assassins) - but history tells us there are far more Armstrong, Ricco's, Vinokourovs etc out there, than the innocent Bassons of this crazy cycling world. Unless you have personally been in that situation (possibly walking away from your career/passion/employment because the system was a disaster), then you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I hate doping, I disagree with the choice so many dopers have made, but without properly addressing the issue at hand, without inside knowledge, without being clear that we still have a very serious issue in our sport - we will never get anywhere.

I wish you well heading forward, hopefully something positive will come from it all (like some testing  )

PS: Anonymous boasting, now that is a novel idea  :w00t: I'm really Lance Armstrong  :whistling:

"Anonymous keyboard assassins"

Does anonymous doping confessor also fall in to that group ?

Why did i know that this would go down this route?

The usual suspects are out here throwing punches from their keyboard and pontificating from high>

So any meaningful dialogue or concessions have flown out the window....

"The usual suspects" is that your way of saying that anybody who doesn't add honey and tit milk to everything is a possible twit ?

The simple thing is this. Dopers have no place in ANY sport. If the guy wants to be treated with respect instead of the derision he's getting, he'll admit it in his normal Hub profile and take the schtick that comes with it. As well as trying to clean the sport from the inside.

I don't think he ever claimed to be confessing - I mean he's anonymous, and despite what we think, thehubsa is not SAIDS? Or Oprah for that matter  ;)

I personally am happy to hear his/her anonymous inside information though, and learn a little along the way, and make up my own mind on the matter.

Hey Mr Sheriff,

You out here in the main street with that Star on your chest keeping law and order :-).

So here is what I am saying:

Unless you create an environment around this where people can come forward and tell their stories, you will never get anywhere.

It doesn't help that everyone says you are scum.and go hide under a rock> that ain't gonna make you willing to open up

I think what you got yesterday was a breakthrough, and you need to allow more of those type of discussions to happen>

Get it out in to the light as a start.

Nobody ever insinuated that, in actual fact, The Hub is the last place you would give your confession, (yes that is what he did, he confessed) if you want to warn others about the grave dangers of drugs and what has been happening in the sport.

If the concern and intention is that deep, then it needs to be made public so that a wider audience can get to hear about it.

Read what JVZ said, that is where a few of us are standing at the moment .

As much as I don't put much faith in anyone who says 'it should work' I also stop reading when generalizations are made like 'most of you reading this' or the 'majority of riders' are doing it ....
