Spez is good bikes...till you have warrantee claim(s).

Had a S-Works stumpie, last year November waited 3 months for S-Works crankset to be replaced, could not give me date when they can help me so gave credit to store to sort me out. If shop did not have a spare crank I would have been out a bike.

Fork gave endless problems...gave up after I had to pay for every return. Problem with the brian fork, it either works like a dream or it is useless. Had a warrantee on the fork when it was a mere 2 months old.

Cracked the frame, they did not have stock and cannot give me a date when it will arrive.

This type of issue I had no choice to sell the bike in parts because I could not even get parts. Major problem here is that the brand is growing too quickly and they cannot backup the product. But that is a first workd problem currently...some bikes just do not sell. Loved the bike but the fighting and frustration was just too much.  :(

Any riders with experience on the 26'er stumpies?

Specifically the 140mm travel versions from 2011 on wards.

A friend of mine has the 2011 Alu model that I've ridden a few times and very impressed with it.

Wow, the generalizations are incredible......

Now I am in real poo, I have a Specialized Camber and a Cannondale Super Six. WTF I am going to do? the horror......I love both these bikes, but please hubbers let me know if I am allowed to!!

I have "matching" spez baggies......now I cant ride in them because some idiot thinks I am a poser in Spez kit???

How about all the haters being less concerned about how many people ride Spez, Cannondale, Silverback, Merida or whatever else they choose to ride and just enjoy your ride or do you look around the start pen at the local race and put everyone in their sterotype box??

My next problem is how could I ever stop on the trails to say howzit to JC Meyer or Rouxtjie while I am on my Spez and they are on thier SS's.

Get over yourself people. I am the same oke now (on a Spez) that I was when I rode my 1st Silverback.

Well said, ditto.

kind of like the ugly cousin that comes over for Christmas lunch and eats the last of the turkey filling and fills his glass of wine like it is water being offered up and messing everywhere.

A Spez rider would only fill his glass to the correct prescribed level.

A glass that may only be cleaned with a cleaner provided by Concept stores?
