nonky Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 My current grip with Spez is they have 2 awesome tubeless road tyres that have massively good reviews and not one in any of the concept stores in CT knew what I was asking for (most thought I was wanting a tubbie), not one bothered to offer they'd find out from the suppliers and when I bumped into one of the agents they just shrugged their shoulders as to if they were even going to order some..."maybe give us a call in Feb or something". That comment is valid for...I dunno...THE ENTIRE BLOODY SA PRIVATE SECTOR after 15 December (says the grumpy dude still at the office...grrrrrr)

You really just need a bike and fitness to compete. Enduro/AM type of riding is a little tricky if your bike handling skills are limited to a spin on your mate's BMX back in Std.2. Marathon racing is a great entry point into the sport.From a skills point of view its also usually the end point too...

There's a buyer waiting with cash to buy mine. So, first a truck sideswipes my missus while driving last week. Driver says, "Eish, sorry, no insurance". Then the engine literally went up in smoke this morning. Poof! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackit.
Headshot Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Ya, small town hospitality - farm student with large Bakkie tows us to agents who diagnose problem and charge battery but send us elsewhere to save money on agents massive parts cost, and charge us nothing for checking and washing the car! Only problem was battery died 3km from my mechanic but was driving in convoy so we had to do a bit of a tow. Fun start to not going on holiday until its fixed

I ride a Fuel EX, loving it, decided to add a Enduro 29 and have a long travel for the Hakahana / South West HBP / go anywhere off the edge of the mountain type days... Last Monday, 4 January, I walk into the Centurion Concept store, to buy said bike, or maybe just order the thing if they dont have my size... but wait, no one working their could give a ****... I did two laps through the store looking at what they had, bloke behind the counter was way more interested in what was on his phone, some other sales type staff was shooting the **** with mates in EMS gear in the middle coffee shop type deal, but not a single person, accept the cleaner, was interested in the fact that I was wanting to drop more money, there and then, than their combined salaries... Just close your doors, assclowns. now I understand, Spaz, like smaller BMW's, might be for the entitled wannabee... I would rather spend my money on another Trek or Pyga. Bone.

You are right to be pissed, but the fact remains that THE STORE is at fault, not the brand. Go to West Rand Cycles or Complete Cyclist in Bryanston to see what good service you can receive from shops representing Spez.

Riaan H Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I have only had incredible service from Lynwood Cyclery, don't let a bad service day put you off a great bike. Tbh my service today is crap too, just not in the mood.
