Hi Guys

Riding a bike of 100k for someone that earn 1bar is the same as 1k bike for someone that earns 10k.

So would like to see how much guys spend on their bikes in relation to their salary per annum

So would be nice if you guys could all participate in this poll.

NB if I have done this wrong ,I do apologise .Its my first attempt.

Think you should make it per annum, easier.

I'd suggest you change it to annual income, as it stands you'll see a skewed distribution which won't be accurately represented by the 150-200% and above 200% answers. I suspect very few people will fall into the lower brackets.

Just in case my wife and or any other malicious persons read this I refrain from providing this type of info :whistling:

Haha, this implies your wife is also a malicious person ;)

Would be interesting to see what an 'advisable amount' to spend would be.

Men's Health did any article a few years backs stating that you should spend one months salary on an engagement ring and two months salary on a good watch, ha, ha! Wonder what they would advise to spend on a bike?

I would say one months salary would be more than enough, for one bike.

Would assume that this would be referring to replacement value.

My bike is very much a frankenstein and has been constantly evolving over the last 2 years. I think I still have the original brakes and rear shifter.

The cost of to date has been spread out and picking up a bargain or 2 end of range items, but to get  a new ride with the same spec.... :o

I have changed it per annum...didn't realise guys pay that much for their Bikes vs Salary

Im on +-10% monthly income , hence the reason I made it monthly.

But thanx for the response thus far,, eye opener for me. Will be using this poll in future to justify the expensive bike to my SO :whistling:  :whistling:
