Would have loved to be in the store when this incident happened. Not sure why but I've wondered if it would ever happen, not specifically to Marco, but to any store manager or owner. I've seen episodes get close to this, where neither side wants to compromise but a solution is found.

I think finding the fault and then laying out all the possible solutions is a quick way. If not one of those solutions are accepted then the role is reversed. I do it with children haha

I assume only the The Hub main cahoonas can answer me here, is the software design not set up so ip addresses can be logged automatically? I know way to little about this stuff, but almost certain we wont see the OP re-appear under his current name, change email address and we are back pretending it be someone else.... With ip addresses, you will run out of those pretty soon.

No idea if its possible or a in depth forensics gyzmo, just wondering.

It will depend on the ISP's DHCP lease if someone will come back with the same IP - if they're at home and are disconnected from the internet long enough they'd more than likely get a new IP, or like me, I connect from multiple IP's because I connect from my home network, mobile network, and work networks - and I know I have colleagues on here who also connect from work, but we will all show the same public IP address. 

Not to mention that someone with a little knowhow could also just use one of the publically available VPN's to mask their IP and it could show they're connecting from all sorts of places on the globe.

So, here is my last experiance with Action Cycles. Please note I only saw this add this morning.

 

Yesterday on my way home at 5:15 I call Marco to ask him if he can squeese something in for me before they closed(5:30)

 

I had my crappy old roadbike on the back of my car and wanted to fit a crankset I got off The Hub. Thats something one should be embarraced about but I could not get the old BB off. So I call Marco and his response is, Sure Stefan, Bring it in.

 

I went in, he showed me where the tools were and when I couldnt get it right he came over and helped me fit the new BB. Then he asked me where the cranks were, I had left them in the car as I was going to fit them at home. He insisted that I go fetch them so we can do it properly, 5:30 had now come and gone. So He helped me fit the cranks that I did not buy from him and Proceded to whish me a nice evening when I left at 5:45pm. Take Note, Devon has been off sick for 2 days and he has been left to run the shop by himself.

 

I should note that 2 weeks ago I built my first wheel, and after basically "assembling the wheel and spokes" I took it to Marco to tension and dish. The wheel is still true and he didnt even charge me.

 

Thats my experience of Actions since the first time they worked on my bikes back in Chippini street 2005.

I was in the shop Saturday and had a chat to Devon who was not there on THE day but who have heard Marco's side of the story. There was definately more to it than the OP mentioned.

Im not going to give my broken telephone version of the story. Its not mine to tell anyway.

we had an incident this morning on chapman speak and 2 guys in my group claim it was Marco. Now before get into the story I need to confirm if he drives the black corsa Bakkie. I saw the guy get out the vehicle but I don't know who Marco is so I can identify him if I saw him again.
