Well done to all the folks who seem to have been sticking to the correct line on the byron line

So I went for a gentle stroll on the spruit today and much to my delight the straight line of the byron line seems to be disappearing. Either that or I was moving so fast through the turns that I didn't notice it. Either way I thought I should report back that perhaps my little rant made a couple people think twice. Or alternatively people have gone to the coast for the holiday and as such aren't riding the spruit. Either way I will make a point of riding it as much as possible so that the true (and fun) line remains the most obvious one. Since the other thread was locked I thought I'd start a new more positive one.

Now lets all hold hands and sing kumbayah.

a whole thread for that?

Yes. I was a little sad at the outcome of my previous thread and felt the world needed more positivity. Perhaps at heart I'm still just the hippie I was in Europe. Its just that I now have shoes and a car. And food, and a job, and I pay tax. Yeah no; can't actually claim to be a hippie anymore. Tear.

must be bored...

I am on leave at present and we're only going away next week so perhaps I am bored. So what plenty of good comes out of boredom. I probably wouldn't have even entered my industry if I hadn't suffered from chronic boredome at school. Some of the best and most profound conversations and moments of my life have emerged from boredom.

Human beings are far too concerned with being busy all the time. I savour boredom like a fine wine. Sometimes it is a cheap and nasty bottle from pick and pay and you curse after each sip. Other times you find its a diamond in the rough that you picked up from odd bins at Checkers. And sometimes you pay the earth for it and it turns out to be only mediocre. Such is life.

Just call it what it is, an attempt to unlock your previous thread with the hope of some renewed fireworks. Keep it real.

Is there a button where you can report frivolous threads?

Does the hub have a limit on what it can handle? Surely a rant or a rave by definition cannot be frivolous. If people are joining a conversation then its clearly something of interest to them wouldn't you say? We have a chit chat forum after all. Perhaps I should have posted there but this is the ying to the previous threads yang and thus this seemed like the logical place to post.

The way that the previous thread degenerated into a mass mud-slinging orgy, I think it best to let this specific Spruit topic stay in the annals of Hub history.
