Hi there,

Yes it was me who you tried to pass on Sunday. I don't want a mud slinging contest so here are my concerns:

I was riding with my 60 year old mom at Northerns on Sunday when you came screeming into the single track shouting for us to move as you were coming in fast. As for VERY slow, I'm not even going to say a word! My mom had to uncleat and move over, where it wasn't really possible. Could you not have waited five minutes for a clearing to pass? Northerns is a family riding spot, imagine that was a kid you had snuck up on? I'm all for unskilled people staying off the black routes, that's why we weren't at Thaba! I think you should take your travel and ride some real technical stuff where us slow people don't hold you up? The guy riding behind you actually complimented my mom and told her to relax and just ride, you should try that sometime!

We have been riding northern farms for 15 years, this is not a New Years resolution!

I hope your mum isn't put off by this nonsense. Don't let her take this guy getting the hump too seriously.

My partner had problems at NF with guys riding straight at her when they should have been riding on the left and ended up having a crash. It put her off for a long time and when she did go back she was quite nervous. I rode with her for a while and now she's fine.

Whaaaat!!!?????..........agroness at RMH (Rosemary Hill).......................you have permission to tell them whatever you want. RMH is for chilling and having a nice time with family ...................

Last time I was there I saw they put up signs for a strava segment. The *** thing with RH is that there's just one trail with the 5, 10 and 20 km all overlapping - so you're bound to encounter traffic, in the form of slower riders, kids, slow noobs like me etc.. that said I've never encountered aggro there... Hope that doesn't change...

I think he's developing a tyre that can withstand his blistering speed. Mark my words one day we will be thanking him. Ungrateful lot you.

Lucky for him, John is not violent....but good thing his ape brother is up in Africa....

Yip you know it Karma.

In Addis for the day before I head off again.

But OP please feel free to PM me when ever convenient. I will be very very happy to go over trail etiquette and Strava KOM chasing with you once I am back from Ethiopia.

You are Very very lucky that my Bro is such a nice guy. Had I not been away I more than likely would have been one of the "unskilled noobs" holding you up on that technical singletrack.

Put it this way you would need more than a PHdotD to remove my foot from your @ss and the crossmark tread from your head.

Here's hoping to see you out on the trails. More reasons to be keen to get home.

Your faithfully
