Won't build the rest for 10k. Not with anything decent at least. Cheapest you could do is 6k for slx groupset, 3k for a suntour epicon but not sure that will be long enough for the pyga, 3kish for wheels... probably mavic crossrides, then you still need stem bars seatpost saddle and tyres.... min 3k for all of that. Easybike has great prices on shimano groupsets and conti/schwalbe tires. Then chat to your lbs for a cockpit off another bike.... probably the best way to get a cheap set. Anthem is 30k with full slx and fox ctd. Wheels are a bit heavy but solid. You could actually get a good deal on giant wheelset for the pyga and upgrade the fork...

Edit: 7k for slx, 8k for xt. And that excludes rotors.

What you want out of the build will determine what it will cost.

Wheelset

Fork

Groupset

are big items

of which the wheelset is of utmost importance as well your fork choice

these items can make or destroy a ride and the true character of a frame

Frame is R20k. Was hoping to get rest built up for R10kIs that cloud cuukoo land? If so what would be more realistic?

Yup, I'm afraid that is being unrealistic. You'd be better off looking for a good deal on a complete bike 2nd hand if you go for a 110.

Busy with my Pyga 110 build, and really struggling to keep costs down. Got the frame for a steal here on the hub. Same for fork, but not the ideal fork for the frame. Wheels built with hubs from the Hub and Rapide rims.

Group from my current bike. Cockpit was also more expensive than I thought it would be.

All in, probably just on R30k, but I'll want to upgrade fork by Christmas, possibly Easter.

Someone smoking their socks if you think they can build a bike up to any decent standards for 10-15k.

Even if you SLX with a Reverb or Pike, and a set of half decent hoops, you closer to 45 than 35.

Pointless buying a good frame and decorating it in cardboard
