Drove past the squad on Sunday on our way back from the Sabie Classic, via Pilgrims Rest and Lydenberg. What a privilege to experience a world class team on our stoep.

Dig the back stage pass idea ????

My wife just spent a week with them on their training camp, she says they are so awesome and relaxed yet so professional!

She got to work fairly closely with their PR/media guy and he was the one who introduced the music videos and backstage pass. They have even offered to buy some of her pics that she took whilst there to use in their media campaigns  :w00t:

Crystal Springs Resort at the top of Robbers pass is where they stayed. (up the road from Pilgrims Rest). Training was on the roads  leading to the resort as well as the God's Window and Three Rondavel roads. Crystal Springs is also the resort where Nick Bester and Willie Mtolo comrades teams stay when they do their training in the weeks leading up to Comrades. Training at altitude has major benefits of which I know not too much about. Very cool place to stay though. 65km from Numbi gate (Kruger Park).

We, bunch of DOC's also came upon them a while back (back roads of the South), Budgie (aka Michelle still chased after Daryl/them).

Sometime in December I was ambling (well my speed versus his) along and Darryl came the opposite way on his TT bike being followed by a car and just sat up and waved and then got back into his TT position and carried on - class act IMHO!

The team commented on their FB page about their training, referring to the awesome place to ride/train in... referring to Mpumalanga.

I had the same experience. A group of us rode our MTBs through Walkerville one day during the holidays, saw this dude on the other side of the road followed a vehicle, he waved and greeted, we did the same only to notice then he was in full Orica kit, got home and checked his ride on Strava and it was Darryl. Cool guy!
