As I was struggling along two Orica guys came past me from behind and very friendly said hi. Don't know who they were, but thought it was cool!
NotSoBigBen Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Sometime in December I was ambling (well my speed versus his) along and Darryl came the opposite way on his TT bike being followed by a car and just sat up and waved and then got back into his TT position and carried on - class act IMHO!

I watched some of their documentaries last year and it was great to see how they all work for each other. Also great that they have Impey on their team so gives us reason to support them. Also my 2nd fav team after MTN Qhubeka.
Bianchi Baby Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 My son was privilaged enough to meet Darryl at the SA road bike Champs in Nelspruit earlier this month. After a dissappointing 4th place in the U/10 TT, Darryl took time to pick this little guy up off the ground and chat to him. He is a scholar and a gentleman! He made my little guys day and even remembered him two days later and gave him an Orica GreeEdge cap - what an awesome guy.! So cool to have him for our kids to look up to.

Team has got what they call 'mateship', they all ride for each other. I think it's genuine, but clearly they got a slick PR team behind them too. here's the one from dazza in yellow
