If you want to advertise your services then start your own thread.

I think him advertising here is valid this one time - I mean Rikus le Grange did get a 5 star rating from Rikus le Grange so he must be damn good.

Who owns this thread?

This thread has evolved into a general discussion about bike service and other bike shops have explained how they approach it so why can he not mention himself as an option?

This thread is a year old so is R120 for a bike wash still a problem, or has inflation taken care of it?  What are the same people charging now?

Therein lies the difference....others have explained....he merely just popped down a link to his incredible FB page.....better to partake than to try and take.....

It was a poor contribution to the thread and it's success will be self regulated as such. He still wasn't hijacking another service provider's thread.

R40 for a wash when you stop for a coffee on the weekend (up R10).

Bike wash built into servicing costs. Not added on as an extra.

Yes, eddy we try to educate our customers as much as possible. There are lots of times we have had to have difficult phone calls with them. That "quick check" actually really needs to be a full service. Seized bearings leading to cracked frames. How do guys actually know that their bikes have had full pivot services? There's usually at least one bearing on its way out which needs to be replaced.

There are also cases where we find a bike has been meticulously maintained when we open it up and we call the owner to downgrade to a mini service.

Judging from the service my Sani partner got recently, you will no doubt see my bike for her next brake and suspension once-over.

I'm properly impressed with the feedback, lessons, updates and even a follow-up call!
