Not everyone can afford to donate, but I'm sure most of us have a red band/ribbon/shirt that they can cycle or support in on Sunday. Let's show them that we're thinking of them and grateful for saving our city. Please spare a minute to pass on to all your mates doing the argus, I'd love to see this idea come together as a huge 'thank you'

Raydek Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Not to make light of the situation, but this might be one of the most memorable and thought provoking tours yet what with this idea for thanking the firefighters, the black arm bands and the one minute lie down for the killed cyclists suggested before.. And all through the moon like landscape.. Heavy stuff.

Wez-O Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 As nice as this sentiment is, a far more useful act would be to make a donation to the Volunteer Wildfire Services at http://www.vws.org.za/?page_id=338 I have just read a story where a young kid donated all of his pocket money to this great cause, so you all have no excuses!

Well, that kid will still have food when all his money is gone... me however not so much. Kidding aside. Definitely in for the armbands idea.
