There was one rider at the, I think, Wynberg downhill that couldnt handle it quite lekke and collided with the bariers. Just saw his botlles and bike skid over the road and him lying motionless on the tar. Looked really really bad. Anybody else saw this?

Luckily I saw no big incidents along the way, almost became an incident myself as I was coming down a hill at 60something on the right had side of the road and a guy swerved in front of me to overtake someone else,we clipped bars, but luckely I was on the MTB and had skills.[emoji12]

Reminds me:  I must change the brakes on my roadie.  On my MTB Right is Rear, but on my roadie Right is Front.  Don't know what I was thinking when I built it up.

Not so sure if the right hand on the brake lever is that relevant but if you are serious about off road riding, practicing control so you can do some sort of a stoppie and know how much pressure is needed to lock the front wheel are important skills, probably best started at least with your dominant hand.  Obviously not panicking and grabbing a handful is quite important as well lol.

All that money and so little skill.....

Perfect clip for OP to get his watts onto the forum, imagine how show offy it would be had the poor guy from Klein Constantia not crashed.

Looks like the Bike Cavendish sold Saturday night, hence the bike flipped!!! Just have a look at 55sec

Even that's not Cav edition frame..

Clearly my brakes are shite , cos they wouldn't do near that good a job of stopping my front wheel

I agree, I don't think my bike can do that even if I tried.
