Disappointing to see another ASG event having the same issues. That R350 entry fee for the Emperors palace classic seems huge for a race that we might not have any water or timing .

Nope will not happen. Stage race against classic is a huge different ball game. All of the classic ASG races I never experienced any issues and the R350.00 entrance fee is standard nowadays for the same "size"race

 

All I say is that ASG is pro active and had communication on the Emperors where I received very fast feedback as I always do

Thats what we thought about Sondela, especially after it was ADVERTISED (ASA) that the race would be timed by Racetec, until we all arrived and found out that it would not be.

 

So with them, even if they say they will, in writing, never say never.

 

Edit: And again in that case, if memory serves me correct, it was somebody elses fault.

In all honesty though, what I think is really missing in road cycling is the good old club organised races - people with passion, promoting the sport for the love of it. It's how running works, it's how cycling once was.

 

Maybe all these mega clubs of ours are missing a trick? Couple hundred volunteers on hand... 5/6 big clubs in Joburg alone - you do the maths

Agree on that with you about the Sondela race. I was also there and got our ass wipped by Karan on the day lol

Yip I contacted Sonette and in minutes she replied to me and about 20 mins later she said that Wynand is close by and that he will go have a look what is going on.

If they promised to have a working solution in place for next year, and you go back on that premise, and they do not, you might change your mind.

ASG had no such issues at The Jock last year so why can't they do the same for ToGH?
