FHB Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I am interested in going for a single speed. As mentioned, I am 125kg's and can ride fairly good on my MTB bike. Now, I would like to go the SS route as well (to build stamina etc on hills etc), so that this can translate into faster times on MTB. Which frame would be the best, steel, Alu or Carbon? I have very strong legs (years of playing prop), so hence the question. Also, would strong legs have any issues with bending frames etc? Many thanks
Hairy Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 ON ONE Inbred, but better yet for your power and weight, a ON ONE Summer Season or 456 .... all steel bikes. Inbred comes in horizontal drop outsSummer Season / 456 std Drop Outs and will need a tensioner .... but seriously tough and fun frames. Speak to Ryanpmb as he is bringing the On-One brand into SA.

I dunno if it's good on the knees to be pushing those numbers into the equation. maybe just put some insulation tape on your gear shifters for a ride first before you commit to a SS. I might be totally out of line here...but ja. *it's an actual bike
