Nothing wrong with any of those forks. The Manitou's great and the backup is good, and Rockshox has been spoken for above. Marzo's the unfortunate one - probably the best of the bunch, and I can do the servicing for you, but if you ever need spares you're stuck since there's no local agent.

gap in the market right there. plus Stoke rhymes with 'zoke

I'd chose Marz juts for the espresso stanchions.

"Marzo service" is an oxymoron

I have had 2 Marzo forks and they were bombproof. Always plush, and never demanded any maintenance.

I guess they get a bad rep from the lack of local representation, and because we constantly get "Rockshox and Fox are the only 2 forks to consider" shoved down our earholes.

But yeah, I was very impressed with the Marzo forks I had, and if/when I build another bike I'd consider a Marzo as an option.

I LOVED my Marzo 66. Suuuuper plush, suuuper stiff and just plain awesome.

If I had the cash to throw at an agency...

They're mostly bombproof, but it would be nice to know that spares were available when they're occasionally needed. It's not often, but it does happen occasionally.

I think I speak for a helluva lot of people when I say you'd be very well supported...

Don't discount these suspension options as well, all available locally and competitively priced. Would put them up against any of the others -

- DVO Suspension

- X Fusion

- Formulae

- SR Suntour

Marzocchi is Dead, Long Live Marzocchi??????

that rumor started floating about 2 months ago. sad to hear it from the horses mouth though :/

Makes me wonder 2 things:

1) who will snap it up? Forums suggest Shimano. I'm thinking Suntour, or even Giant. some big suspension OEM should get the IP.

2) how do smaller, more recent entrants to the game, like DVO survive?

Oh please no... LOL. Nothing against them, but I can't see myself putting a Shimano fork on my SRAM kitted bike (do not mention that the reign is full shimano)
