i would rather have a guy take my bike in my garage that isnt locked down, than have him come into my house to "ask" me or my wife for his drinking/tik money

I love my bikes as much as the next oke, but if my bike which is loose inside my house or garage is a easy target/distraction he can take it and leave my family alone,

Shebeen is still here typing cause im ASSuming he didnt interact with the plank who took his bike, if his bike was locked good chances he would have come looking for other forms of "income"

I was at work!

To be honest, cannot be bothered, worked for 10 years so far.

Bike does live in the babys room though :P

You have had a baby for ten years???

Just a baby room, well that's what the wife calls my bike room. :P

If I put a bike in the babies'/kids' room, I will be sleeping outside.

Mine are in the spare room locked individually but also together with a long chain. Windows and doors are Trelllidored with alarm so who ever decides to visit when no ones home wont have an easy time removing the bikes.

my friend* has the expensive bikes chained up and then one cheapie accessible for a quick snatch......

I had tried that, left a Spez as the decoy bike and for some reason they ignored it.

Some c..nts broke into my garage 2 nights ago, had 4 good bikes chained up against the wall. The alarm went off as soon as they popped the door, they took my mtb that was not chained up and my kids bike and did a runner. The best R300 I ever spent was on the chain. Bikes live in the playroom now.

In the karoo we just leave them on the stoep. I recently only started to lock my garage. Moving to a new house where bikes will be locked inside the house
